Forbes Reveals Most Powerful Celebs

Forbes has released its "Celebrity 100," the list of the year's most powerful celebs, and there were some changes this year. Oprah took the top spot, knocking Tom Cruise down to number 8. Hollywood's golden couple faired quite well, with Brad Pitt at 5 and Angelina Jolie at 14. The bad girls of L.A. didn't make the cut at all when Paris Hilton dropped off the list completely, after having been a mainstay since 2004. Britney Spears hasn't made the list since 2002, and Lindsay Lohan hasn't since 2005. Editor Lee Goldman explains,
"We look at celebrities as brands and when you talk about those girls, you're talking about diminished brand value," Goldman said. "It's not enough to just be a headline, and it's not enough to pocket a paycheck -- you have to have both."
